The physician documents the patient's diagnosis as eczema. How is this coded in ICD-10-CM?

a. Acute dermatitis due to unspecified cause
b. Dermatitis, unspecified
c. Other specified dermatitis
d. Psoriasis, unspecified

The correct answer is B, dermatitis, unspecified.

Rationale: ICD-10-CM code L30.9 Dermatitis, unspecified lists Eczema, NOS as an included condition. The Index entry for Eczema directs the coder to code L30.9 and there is a note to also see Dermatitis.
