Can anyone tell me what type of audit credit a Caprini VTE Risk Assessment would be?
This is done for assessment of DVT/PE risk.

A majority of taking this assessment would fall under the past history component, but depending on the final score obtained from the Caprini assessment, the Table of Risk may come into play. Patients who score high on the Caprini assessment are considered to be at the highest risk for DVT, but it is up to the physician to connect the risk to the presenting problem in order to assess the current risk status of the patient.
