the correct answer:
d) J44.9 Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, unspecified and J45.50 Severe persistent asthma, unspecified

Rationale: The alphabetil index identifies J44.9 as the correct code. Under J44, there is a note to code also the type of asthma, if applicable. The asthma has been documented as sever, persistent asthma so code J45.50 is also reported.
