Under the revised definitions from the AMA from the external source review for data vs analyzed data; would you consider when a patient brings in their log of BP readings and the provider reviews the readings, and analyzes this information for the MDM, would you categorize this data reviewed under external source?...or analyzing this for the thought process for the MDM? Our MAC states this:
Q: Is reviewing data supplied by the patient such as a blood sugar log or blood pressure diary eligible to
be credited in the data category?
A: Reviewing of documentation that is part of the decision making for that DOS could count in the E&M. Work spent before the face to-
face eval and after can be counted
How is everyone scoring this?
