mental health and primary billed on the same dos. psychologist can't write rx for the mental health can, so the patient see's medical for rx refills and other medical conditions. Can the medcal provider bill 99213 and psychologist bill 90633 or do the mental health provider bill both pieces?

Both services can be billed on the same DOS, either one by the MD and one by the psychologist or both by the MD if MD conducted both sets of services. The key thing to remember is the documentation must support both types of visit- which is looks like this scenario does have (RX and medical probs addressed under 99213 and psych under the therapy codes) .
